In 2026, the Rob Guest Endowment is proud to introduce the Kellie Dickerson Emerging Musical Director Program, honouring Kellie’s extraordinary contribution to the Australian music theatre industry.
Kellie was a deeply respected musical director, mentor and collaborator whose influence continues to be felt across the industry. This program has been created in her honour to support the next generation of musicians stepping into music theatre, and to reflect her passion for nurturing emerging talent.
About the Program
The Kellie Dickerson Emerging Musical Director Program is designed to identify and develop emerging pianists and aspiring musical directors, offering a meaningful pathway into professional music theatre work.
Running alongside the Industry Insights Workshops, the program creates a collaborative environment that mirrors the real-world relationship between performers and music teams.
Participants will gain:
- Insight into the role of the musical director within commercial productions
- Hands-on experience working alongside performers in a workshop setting
- Opportunities to observe and engage with working industry professionals
What you’ll do:
- Attend and accompany at the Industry Insights Workshop
- At the conclusion of the workshop, selected participants will be offered work experience with the music department of a current professional musical production
